China’s J-7 jet crashes in Hubei setting houses on fire; 1 killed, pilot safe

- In a third aviation accident in over 2 months, a Chinese Air Force J-7 plane crashed in central China’s Hubei province. As per reports the crash took place during training near an airport in Laohekou city, setting several houses on fire. Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post quoted Chinese official media as saying that the pilot parachuted from the plane and received minor injuries. Some reports even claimed that one person has died in the incident while 2 others have been injured. Videos circulating on social media showed several houses on fire at the accident scene.
