BMC constructed the bridge but Western Railways manages its maintenance. Ironically, the structure collapsed hours before construction of another bridge. Was to be completed at a collapse site from last year, the Elphinstone station. In September 2017, the Elphinstone foot overbridge collapsed killing 22 people and injuring 35.
