A five-storey building in Ghaziabad's Khoda area collapsed on Friday. No casualty has been reported. “The building was not in good condition. It was 8–10 years old and had been evacuated already,” said Ghaziabad district magistrate, Ritu Maheshwari. Locals said, there was a clothes showroom, but it had been shut down as the condition of the building was not good. “NDRF and other rescue teams are present at the spot,” Maheshwari said. The incident comes amidst continuous rains over the past few days in the national capital region and two days after a road caved in Vasundhara's Sector 4C. Three people were killed in the heavy rainfall that began lashing Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and East Delhi from Wednesday night.
