Tourists allegedly being asked to pay extra for water in Shimla

After the water crisis that has Shimla residents and tourists queuing up in long lines to get water, tourists are allegedly being asked to pay extra to get water for their needs. The Shimla Municipal Body is now distributing water under police protection amid acute shortage. Residents have also been protesting over the water shortage in different parts of town. They have also requested tourists to stay away from the town during peak tourist season, till the debilitating water crises is over.
