Watch | Female traffic cop thrashed by Shiv Sena worker in Thane

CCTV footage from Thane shows a female traffic constable being thrashed by a man, believed to be a Shiv Sena worker. The footage, taken on Febraury 25, shows the worker stepping out from his car and mercilessly thrashing the cop. She had apparently asked him to stop using his phone while driving. The man has been arrested and booked under sections 323, 353, and 354 of the IPC. Deputy Commissioner of Police Rashimi Karindikar said a letter has also been sent to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) for suspending the convict's driving licence.
