Nestle Maggi masala has failed a laboratory test in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. According to tests conducted by a Lucknow-based state-owned laboratory, ash content in Maggi Masala was found to be 1.85 per cent, which is higher than the permissible limit of one percent. Chief food security officer Manoj Verma said that a notice will be sent to the company and the retailer.
