Watch | Riot breaks out in Varanasi District Jail

A major riot broke out at Varanasi's District Jail between inmates and police forces. The inmates were seen pelting stones at officials, who were trying their best to contain the chaos in the prison. Sounds of gunshots being fired were also heard from the scene. According to reports, the Deputy Jailer, Ajay Kumar Rai, was injured. Additional forces have been rushed to the prison to bring the situation under control.
