A fresh Israeli Channel 13 poll has put Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc ahead but still short of the 61 seats needed to form a government. The survey, released as Israel marked the third anniversary of the October 7 attack, projected Netanyahu’s bloc at 55 seats against 50 for the main Zionist bloc. Likud and Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar party were tied at 20 seats each. Netanyahu has continued to reject allegations that his government failed to prevent the 2023 Hamas attack. He has also warned that Hamas could try to influence the upcoming election, adding another layer to the political contest.
