‘We are solution to pollution’: Netas, celebs plant trees on Environment Day

Politicians and celebrities observed the World Environment Day to create awareness among the public to be more responsible towards nature. The Union Government invited celebrities like former cricketer Kapil Dev, and actors Jackie Shroff and Randeep Hooda, to plant saplings to encourage afforestation. Other politicians like Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit also planted trees. Responsible citizens also formed a human chain outside former President APJ Abdul Kamal's memorial in Rameswaram to send a message of sustainable living.
