India on Feb 19 attended the inaugural meeting of U.S. President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” on Gaza as an observer nation, even though New Delhi has not yet accepted the invitation to formally join the body. As per a PTI report citing the official attendee list, India was represented at the meeting in Washington, DC by Namgya Khampa, Chargé d’Affaires at the Indian Embassy. The Board of Peace was created to oversee the Gaza truce and reconstruction, with its proposed role now expanding to wider international conflict-resolution efforts.
