Hamas and its allies are reportedly impeding Israel's advancement through Gaza’s Shejaiya. On July 7, the Al Quds Brigade released purported footage showing its fighters engaging IDF forces. The Al Quds Brigade serves as the armed wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, an ally of Hamas. They claimed their fighters engaged IDF troops inside a house in the Shejaiya neighborhood.
