Food price rise: Finance Minister Nirmala blames supply side issues, lists Modi govt steps

Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Saturday all indicators show this year can be better than expected and gross domestic product (GDP) “will be very encouraging”. Sitharaman also talked about the issue of inflation. The finance minister said, “if inflation has breached 6 then it is a matter of concern.” The finance minister blamed supply side issues and listed steps taken by the Modi government. Sitharaman was speaking at the 19th edition of the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit. Watch the full video for more details.
