A woman in Odisha carried her centenarian mother on a cot to avail pension. 70-year-old Gunja Devi was forced to drag her mother to the bank. This happened after the bank demanded physical verification of account holder. The incident took place in Odisha's Nuapada district. Watching their condition, bank officials immediately released the pension.
