Anti-CAA protests | Will seize properties of those indulging in violence: Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said he will confiscate properties of those who were engaged in violence on Thursday during protests in the state. The chief minister said the authorities would seize the properties and damage caused to public properties will be compensated by it. “I have called a meeting over this. You cannot indulge in violence in the name of protest. We will take strict action against such elements. Will seize the property of those found guilty and compensate damage to public property,” Yogi Adityanath said. Incidents of violence were reported from across Uttar Pradesh as people gathered to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
