Amid border tension, China spy gang busted in Delhi, scribe held, say police

Even as India and China are locked in a face-off along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, Delhi police claim to have busted an espionage ring working for the neighbouring nation. Cops arrested an Indian journalist, a Chinese national and a Nepali citizen from the national capital. As per police, Rajeev Sharma, a freelance journalist, had been tasked by Chinese intelligence agencies with sending sensitive information in exchange for large amounts of money. He was arrested on September 14, and found to be possessing classified defence-related documents, as per the investigators. On September 19, police arrested Qing Shi and Sher Singh, who had allegedly paid Sharma money through shell companies. Watch the full video for more.
