Amit Shah confirms pan-India NRC; clarifies on Citizenship Amendment bill

Home Minister Amit Shah told Rajya Sabha that the government will carry out NRC across the nation. He added that there is no reason for any religious community to feel nervous about the process. Meanwhile, the Home Minister also said that the Citizenship Amendment bill will be tabled in the winter session of Parliament. The Citizenship amendment bill will expedite the process to grant Indian citizenship for non-Muslims from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
