Internet suspended in Assam, Army deployed amid anti-CAB protests

Army was deployed in Tripura and Assam as protests intensified over Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Mobile internet services were suspended in ten districts of Assam for 24 hours from 7 pm Wednesday. Thousands protested against CAB in Assam as they took to streets at different places. Protesters clashed with police at several places. Police used tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.
