Political personalities like Asaduddin Owaisi and Uma Bharti commented on the Supreme Court's ruling on the Ayodhya dispute. The court ruled in favour of the Hindu side but ordered allotment of an alternate site for mosque construction. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Owaisi said that he wasn't satisfied with the ruling and that the Supreme Court is indeed supreme, but not infallible. Former Union Minister and BJP leader Uma Bharti welcomed the 'unbiased' verdict and also praised Lal Krishna Advani for his role in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
