BSP leader shot dead in Allahabad

Adding another stigma to the credibility of law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, Mohd Shami, a Bahujan Samaj Party leader, was shot dead by bike-borne assailants in Allahabad, on Sunday evening. The accused have fled the spot and the police are currently investigating the matter. The assassination came after Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as the Chief Minister of U.P. while promising to improve the degrading law and order situation in the state.
