Arms peddler held with 3 pistols & 25 live cartridges in Tripura

A person was arrested from a hotel in Dharamnagar town of North Tripura district for illegal possession of arms. Three factory-made pistols along with 25 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Acting on a tip-off, the Tripura Police raided the hotel on late Tuesday night and arrested one Prasenjit Das for illegal possession of the pistols. North Tripura superintendent of police, Bhanupada Chakraborty, informed that the arms peddler came from neighouring Assam's Silchar town by train.
