In a first of its kind, the Supreme Court on Friday issued a bailable warrant against sitting Calcutta High Court Judge CS Karnan after he failed to appear before the apex court in a contempt case for his allegations against the Supreme Court and High Court judges. “The Supreme Court has issued the order deliberately against me to ruin my life and my career. This issue is a national issue. One Constitution cannot be hurdle against another constitutional body. Supreme Court is not the employer and High Court is not the employee” he said. He alleged that they are targeting him because he is a Dalit. “A person from lower strata of society is not being allowed to work is atrocity,” he said.
