Chandrayaan 2 a success for whole planet: Former NASA astronaut

Former NASA astronaut Jerry M Linenger said Chandrayaan 2 will benefit the whole country. Earlier, Chandrayaan 1 director Mylswamy Annadurai said the whole world is waiting for Chandrayaan 2's lander Vikram's soft landing. Chandrayaan 2 is India first mission to land near lunar South Pole. handrayaan 2 was launched on 22 July 2019. It entered the Moon's orbit on 20 August 2019.
