Children’s Scrappy News: India’s first news service by kids

A non-profit organisation called Going to School has trained a total of 2,000 government school students across Delhi, Bangalore and parts of Bihar and Jharkhand to investigate and report on local issues in news bulletin format. They're calling it Children's Scrappy News. The scripts are written by NGO volunteers, but the subjects are picked by panels of students, who also attend bootcamp sessions and do their own reporting. Auditions are held to pick the anchors.
