Updated on Mar 13, 2019 07:09 pm IST
With less than a month to go for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections, a BJP delegation appealed to the Election Commission to declare the state of West Bengal as 'super-sensitive'. The BJP claimed that the state's track record for holding free and fair elections has been deplorable. The saffron party's demands included deputation of EC's observers to the state and deployment of paramilitary forces in every booth to ensure that the polls aren't vitiated.
