Dense fog engulfed the national capital and neighbouring areas. India Meteorological Department (IMD) recorded 4.6 degree Celsius at 5.30 on December 30. Three flights were diverted from Delhi airport due to heavy fog. Meanwhile, air quality strayed further into the 'severe' category.
