Updated on Mar 01, 2020 10:09 pm IST
Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh criticised the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance government's 'complacency' over the slowdown in the economy. Singh said there's an atmosphere of gloom and doom in the country, given that the economy is in the midst of a 'dangerously protracted slowdown'. The Congress veteran said that the Rupee was getting weaker and weaker, but exports have been sluggish under the NDA regime, adversely affecting the balance of payments situation.
