‘Farmers being misled for political reasons’: PM Modi on farmer protests

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lashed out at the opposition parties after releasing Rupees 18,000 crore to over 9 crore farmers under the PM KISAN scheme. PM Modi said that farmers are being misled by the opposition and questioned why there are no protests in Kerala where there are no APMCs. PM Modi alleged that there is a double standard at work and added that opposition parties are trying to gain political relevance by spreading lies about the farm laws. PM Modi also interacted with farmers where he asked them about their opinions on the points being raised by the protesting farmers and the opposition parties to demand withdrawal of the farm laws.
