Updated on Sept 14, 2020 06:23 pm IST

A day after lakhs of students sat for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam criticised it in Parliament. The Opposition party from Tamil Nadu claimed that the syllabus of the medical entrance exam was solely based on CBSE syllabus, thus putting students graduating class 12 from the Tamil Nadu state board at a severe disadvantage. Meanwhile, in Chennai, DMK leaders led by party chief MK Stalin wore anti-NEET masks to the state Assembly. The masks said 'Ban NEET, Save TN Students'. At least 3 aspirants reportedly committed suicide in the run-up to the test on September 13, allegedly due to stress. Around 85-90% aspirants appeared for the exam which was held with multiple precautionary steps to prevent spread of Covid-19. Watch the full video for more.
