‘Honour’, ‘huge statement’: Energy firms’ executives react after PM Modi meet

Executives of various firms part of a roundtable meeting, in Houston, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, commented on the interaction. PM Modi met Chief Executive Officers of energy sector companies. Tweeting on the meeting, PM Modi said that it's impossible to go to Houston and not talk energy. He also said that he had a 'wonderful interaction' with the CEOs. Commenting on the meeting, Michael Train, Executive President of Emerson Automation Solutions, said it had been a 'real pleasure and honour' to be part of the interaction. Daniel Yergin, Vice Chairman of IHS Markit, said that the roundtable made a 'huge statement' about India-US partnership in energy sector. The meeting took place ahead of the 'Howdy Modi' event in Houston.
