ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar resigns, Sandeep Bakshi takes charge

ICICI Bank Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) Chanda Kochhar has resigned on Thursday with immediate effect. Kochhar, who has been at the helm since 2009, will be relieved with with immediate effect. She has been replaced by Sandeep Bakshi. Bakhshi's appointment will be for a period of five years until October 3, 2023, subject to regulatory and other approvals.
