India rejected a UN report alleging human rights violation in Kashmir as “fallacious, tendentious and motivated”. The UN report talked about the alleged human rights violation in both “Indian-administered and Pakistan-administered Kashmir”. It also sought an international inquiry into these abuses. The ministry of external affairs (MEA) strongly reacted to the report. and called it “overtly prejudice” and seeks to build a “false narrative”. MEA also said that the report is a selective compilation of largely unverified information.
