Indians killed in Iraq: Mortal remains of 38 workers brought back home

The mortal remains of 38 of the 39 Indian workers killed in Iraq were brought back home on April 2, 2018. They are among the 40 Indians who were abducted by the Islamic State near Mosul in 2014. While one worker managed to escape, the remains of another have yet to be positively identified. Minister of state for external affairs, VK Singh, went to Iraq to bring back the bodies. He is flying to Amritsar, Patna and Kolkata to hand over the bodies to the kin of the deceased men.
