The Indian government criticised Pakistan and China for once again attempting to raise the issue of Jammu and Kashmir at a United Nations Security Council meeting. The informal, closed-door meeting ended without any outcome, as there was overwhelming support for the view that UNSC is not the appropriate forum for such a discussion, said Raveesh Kumar, spokesperson for India's Ministry of External Affairs. Kumar said that China must reflect on global consensus that J&K is a bilateral issue between Pakistan and India, and so Beijing must refrain from such actions in the future.
