Maharashtra: 6 dead, 18 missing after Tiware Dam breaches in Ratnagiri

At least six people were killed and 18 went missing after Tiware dam broke in Maharashtra's Ratnagiri on Tuesday night amid heavy rains in the area. Water from the dam washed away seven to eight houses and as many as seven villages were flooded after the dam breached. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams and volunteers are involved in search and rescue operations.
