MCD: Municipal corporation of Development, Department or Disaster?

It's the MCD elections on April 23, for which at least 1.3 crore Delhi citizens will be eligible to vote in the 272 municipal wards across the national capital. Providing services ranging from basic sanitation to roads and social benefits, municipal corporations are the first respondent to the needs of the citizens. In a semi-state like Delhi, the civic bodies cover more ground than Delhi government in terms their reach and variety of services they provide. The city's three corporations – South, East and North – have 96% of Delhi's area under their jurisdiction.But how much do voters know about Delhi's municipalities? And how many of them care to vote?
