‘Monkeys want samosas now, not fruits’: Hema Malini pitches monkey safari

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Hema Malini pitched a 'monkey safari' on Thursday. The Parliamentarian said that monkeys need to be protected and more fruit-bearing trees need to be planted in forests to lure monkeys there. She also said that monkeys now prefer human food like samosas, instead of fruits. She said that this change in food habits is bad for the animals' health. Malini represents Uttar Pradesh's Mathura in the Lok Sabha.
