Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal, said that Sanskrit is the only scientific language in the world. He added that United States of America's space agency, NASA, had said that a walking-talking computer in the near future would be possible only because of Sanskrit. Pokhriyal was addressing the 57th convocation ceremony of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where he was invited as the chief guest. He was inducted into the Union Cabinet after the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance, under the leadership of Narendra Modi, swept the 2019 general elections.
