Nirav Modi: Red Corner Notice issued, finally

The Interpol has finally issued a Red Corner Notice (RCN) against fugitive jeweller Nirav Modi for money laundering in connection with the multi-crore Punjab National Bank fraud. A RCN by Interpol urges its member countries to detain or arrest an accused who is wanted in a country. The Interpol has put out Nirav Modi's photo and has shared his age and other details on its website. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had approached Interpol last month to have RCN issued against Nirav Modi. RCN is expected to empower police of 192 member countries to locate and arrest the jeweller.
