‘Betrayed Bihar’s people’: Tejashwi Yadav slams Nitish for supporting CAB

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav slammed JD(U) national president Nitish Kumar for supporting Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019. Tejashwi said Nitish has betrayed the people of Bihar. “Nitish Kumar has betrayed Bihar's public, he has compromised to retain his power,” Tejashwi said. Janata Dal (United) supported the CAB in Lok Sabha. JD(U) general secretary Pavan Varma said he had urged Nitish to reconsider party's stand on the bill. Earlier, JD(U) vice-president Prashant Kishor also expressed disappointment over the party's support.
