‘No interest in meeting US Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal’: S Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has defended his decision to cancel a meeting with US lawmakers after they declined to exclude Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal from the team. Jaishankar said that the US Congresswoman had presented a resolution on Kashmir that lacked fair understanding of the situation. She had earlier presented a resolution in the US House of Representatives where she urged India to remove restrictions imposed in Jammu and Kashmir.
