Parched cobra drinks water from bottle in Karnataka village

A video has emerged showing a cobra drinking water straight from a bottle. Shot in a village in Karnataka's Kaiga, the video shows a wildlife rescue worker offering water to the serpent in a bottle. The 12-foot-long snake apparently strayed into the village looking for water. Wildlife officials say the drought, which has affected several parts of southern India, has left wild animals in the region dehydrated. So when rescue workers found the snake, the first thing they did was offer it water. One of the men also poured water over the snake's head in an attempt to 'cool' it. The snake was later taken to an animal care facility.
