PM Modi & Mongolian President inaugurate Lord Buddha statue in Ulaanbaatar

PM Modi and Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga jointly inaugurated the Lord Buddha's statue at Gandan Monastery in Ulaanbaatar via video conferencing. Prime Minister had earlier called the event a symbol of India-Mongolia spiritual partnership and shared Buddhist heritage. Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga, who is on a 5 day visit to India, was given a ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhawan. He also paid tributes to the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi in Rajghat.
