PM Narendra Modi biopic: EC bans film in view of Lok Sabha elections

The Election Commission banned the release of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's biopic in view of Lok Sabha elections 2019. The EC directed the filmmakers not to release the movie until further orders. “You are directed not to exhibit the film till further orders,” EC said. The biopic on PM Modi was scheduled to release on Thursday. EC banned screening of biopics on political leaders during elections.
