PM on I-Day: India to get Chief of Defence Staff for synergy between forces

PM Modi during his speech on Independence day made a major announcement. He said that India will soon get a Chief Of Defence staff which will lead to better synergy between the Army, Navy and the IAF. The CDS will act as a one-point reference for the Prime Minister in all security matters. Asserting that the Armed forces are the pride of every India, PM Modi said that there is a need to sharpen coordination in the forces.
