Watch: Pune man drags traffic cop on car bonnet to evade fine, arrested

An on-duty traffic police personnel was dragged on the bonnet of a car in Pune. The incident occurred in the Pimpri-Chinchwad area on November 5. The cop reportedly attempted to stop the car when he spotted people inside without masks. The driver has been arrested as he tried to evade a fine for not wearing a mask. As per the complaint registered, traffic police in the area were on their duty. Cops were checking for people in vehicles, who were not wearing masks. Abasaheb Sawant, the police personnel, has suffered an injury on his leg. A case has been lodged with Chinchwad Police Station under relevant sections.
