Sakshi Maharaj: A common cremation ground would curb terrorism
Updated on Feb 28, 2017 01:57 pm IST
Clearing the air over the controversy that sparked on his statement of giving land for cemetery to Muslims, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sakshi Maharaj said that he totally agrees with PM Modi on having both Hindu crematorium and Muslims cemetery side by side. Rather, he feels that there should be one place for all the religions to perform the last rites of the dead. Sakshi Maharaj also added that common cremation ground for all communities would help in curbing terrorism. Also, it would burn away the hopes of “reaching paradise & meeting 72 hooris”.
