The East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) continued their strike over non-payment of their dues on Monday. The enraged protestors clashed with police who baton charged on the protestors. The sanitation workers have been on a strike since past few days. Earlier, they also staged a protest near the residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. One of the protestors said, “We will not tolerate this lathi charge. We will continue our protest. We are warning PM Modi that if he does not fulfill our demands then we will go to higher level.”
