SC order on Unnao rape survivor explained: Compensation, security and more

The Supreme Court on Thursday passed strict orders in the five cases linked to the Unnao rape survivor. The apex court ordered that the investigation into the case should be completed with a maximum of 15 days. The Uttar Pradesh government has also been asked to pay a compensation of Rupees 25 lakh to the victim. Meanwhile, the CRPF has been given responsibility to provide security to the victim, her lawyer and her immediate family members.
