The Supreme Court rejected petitions seeking review of its verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute. The apex court dismissed 18 petitions filed by Muslims groups like Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and petitioners backed by All India Muslim Personal Law Board. Hindu Mahasabha had also filed a petition, challenging the court's decision to award an alternate site to Muslim side for construction of a mosque. A 5-judge bench heard the petitions in-chamber before dismissing them.
