Shocking videos of ragging at state-run varsity, Odisha govt orders probe

Shocking videos of ragging emerged allegedly from the Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology in Odisha's Sambalpur. First and second-year students of the varsity were allegedly ragged by their seniors. It is yet to be ascertained when the alleged ragging took place since the victims are yet to file complaints. Odisha minister Premanand Nayak said that he had ordered a probe by the university's registrar. The Vice-Chancellor of the university said that strict action would be taken against those found guilty in the investigation.
